Immortal Regis: how, how do you rock so hard? Every single lady on this is solid hardcore gold. Badasses of the finest order. Okay, there've been a few chapters I could have gone without, but two at the most. And Serin makes up for anything. And I ship Jae Hyuk/Serin intensely but I also kinda ship Serin/Semek which is like...built in kink? Sword!porn! It's always good.

Everytime I think one of the ladies is going to need saving, the series laughs in my face and dumps that expectation on its ass. I love it for that alone.

Also: REN. BB. LOVE YOU. Depore OMG. And Infinity. And Owen. Surprisingly tolerable for such a moron! Um~mm.

Awesome. The fanservice keeps cropping up, but I don't mind most of it--oh boy, how I don't mind--and it's easy to ignore the shots that make me roll my eyes.

On Bleach: Tite Kubo, I am unimpressed. It just happens to be the girls who need to get rescued, eh? Unimpressed.

On Immortal Regis: Oh Serin, oh baby, you soothe all my angers. So gorgeous! So fierce and tormented! So fucking badass. And finally we get a) an explanation for his being-saved b) KISS SCENES OHHH YESSS and c) REUNION. OMG REUNION OMG OMG **froths**

Someone come check out Immortal Regis? I love it so, and it is young and underappreciated.

Here are some nice pictures to entice: the series is about Chae Jae Hyuk and Serin, a boy who lives with his ill younger brother in the mortal world until she comes into his life chasing a thief and accidentally kills him. When she resurrects him, he discovers that as an uncontrolled undead he leeches life from those around him and could kill his brother. So he goes to Chaos with her, determined to get the tool that will allow him to return to his little brother without harming those around him.

Reasons I love it: She's gorgeous and also badass and he's furiously struggling to survive and the emotional undercurrents are fascinating, in my opinion, in just the first few chapters. It sets them as two separate characters with their own feelings that interact, and doesn't magically mush them together like so many manga. The art is gorgeous, and they're sweet and hot and the politics/cultural undercurrents look pretty interesting.

Seriously, look at the face she makes when he's hurt.

Random reason that I like this manga: Dude, she tops EVERYBODY.

I have the biggest and most unbearable crush on Serin. O SERIN--it's like I have a weakness for emotionally closed up badass girls who go out and slice things up to try and relieve tension. NO, REALLY?
