I've discovered when I see people reading books on the bus, I can't help but want to know what they're reading, usually to satisfy the sudden urge to read it myself. I don't know! Just the way I roll, apparently. Today I saw a girl reading a book called The Haunted Vagina.

Wait wait wait--people actually still like Nathan Petrelli? The fuck? A more cowardly, backstabbing and viciously selfish character I have rarely if ever seen.

Earlier it was snowing big fat snowflakes that covered the ground. It did so for a couple hours. Then it stopped, melted, and all is now perfectly dry again. Seriously. There's not a sign of dampness to be seen. Seattle weather--and this is not the first time this has happened in the past two weeks--I shake my head in bemusement at you.

Kubo Tite, I am not amused. D.Grayman, Miranda and Rinali are still missing, therefore so is my interest. Immortal Regis, I am badly disappointed in you. Media in general, why you gotta be so skeevy?

Well! On another note, promo pictures tell me that the new Legend of the Seeker episode has Kahlan in bondage and Darken Rahl sleeveless and stroking her. I think I'll actually poke my head into the fandom, because I'm curious about the results of this. After I've watched it, anyway.

who_shot_kr--we never got that in-depth TV post you promised, and I'm really curious about your thoughts on show vs books. Or just show, period.

D.Grayman art that I am totally not familiar with at all keeps popping up, and when asked people give me exceedingly aggravating answers like 'oh, it's everywhere' and 'oh, it's really easy to find.' IF I'M ASKING, CLEARLY I HAVEN'T FOUND IT SO. **throttles air**

All I have to say about Bleach is: I am getting SO TIRED OF SHOUNEN BATTLES and also, Orihime was so cute on the cover! And he didn't even draw her breasts that would break her spine!

Also Merlin continues to be awesome. Gwen! Gwen! I love you!

I've come to suspect that there is an inverse relation between writing and special effects. US shows tend to have superior special effects, but irritate me at the very best with stereotypes, tropes, and downright idiocy. BBC shows--and Blood Ties, which is Canadian--have crap special effects, but awesome characters. (Well, Hex's male characters sucked, but what do you do.) And usually pretty entertaining stories.

This is either a distressing trend or simply indicates that I need to watch BBC. And that is actually to my advantage, I think, because in my experience looking for episodes after the iron is hot, US shows seem to get sniffed out and deleted online faster. And I wouldn't have a TV with channels if my life depended on it, yupthnx.

Also, megavideo keeps crapping out right at the end of the episodes, leaving me on tenterhooks trying not to Hulk Out and hurled the laptop through the window. RAGERAGE.

Also: watched Incredible Hulk movie, v.2, last night. Was it just me or was her voice kind of ridiculously breathy throughout the whole thing? I wonder if she was instructed to do that? I don't care I LOVED HER ANYWAY. Break the soldier's nose without breaking stride! VERBAL BEATDOWN. I wish it was Jennifer Connelly, but that is because though I am polyamorous in my adoration for actresses, there are some that stand on pedestals.

I'm going to try and get Mom to go with me to see The Day the Earth Stood Still. It wasn't a fabulous movie--I already watched it online--but I was entertained okay, I want to see JC on the big screen and she likes Keanu Reeves and totally needs to get out of the house.

Y'know, the new chapters are great and all, and Emilia seems pretty neat (I was hoping the 'miss' meant there was a badass lady prisoner-boss, but no such luck) but WHERE'S RINALI?


In other news, I am a) pretty much incapable of playing and b) never going to have the access to improve at video games and now, sadly, retreat from that arena for all time. Yeeek. What experience I've got was mostly from watching, and I'm not even going to have that option anymore, most likely.

So the D.Grayman mangaka is female, it's been confirmed by her appearance in Germany. This amuses me because the english company that's been translating the manga has been referring to her as male because they are idiots (no, sorry, I'm just sore from the HORRIBLE JOB THEY DID TRANSLATING).

Although they had to have actually changed text in one of her comments, because as a woman I doubt she mentioned her beard. So yeah, I have an excuse to hold them in contempt for willful editing.

But come on--did anyone doubt? It had to be written by a woman. Look at all shounen manga written by males. Rinali's existence as she is proves that is was written by a woman.
