Legend of the Seeker, Heroes, Manga and weather

Wait wait wait--people actually still like Nathan Petrelli? The fuck? A more cowardly, backstabbing and viciously selfish character I have rarely if ever seen.

Earlier it was snowing big fat snowflakes that covered the ground. It did so for a couple hours. Then it stopped, melted, and all is now perfectly dry again. Seriously. There's not a sign of dampness to be seen. Seattle weather--and this is not the first time this has happened in the past two weeks--I shake my head in bemusement at you.

Kubo Tite, I am not amused. D.Grayman, Miranda and Rinali are still missing, therefore so is my interest. Immortal Regis, I am badly disappointed in you. Media in general, why you gotta be so skeevy?

Well! On another note, promo pictures tell me that the new Legend of the Seeker episode has Kahlan in bondage and Darken Rahl sleeveless and stroking her. I think I'll actually poke my head into the fandom, because I'm curious about the results of this. After I've watched it, anyway.

[info]who_shot_kr--we never got that in-depth TV post you promised, and I'm really curious about your thoughts on show vs books. Or just show, period.

ETA: Oh whoops, nevermind, just saw it. **headdesk**

ALSO ALSO ALSO: I lied. This is why I watch Legend of the Seeker. Hee!

Hellboy II; Fearless Girls, Wise Women & Beloved Sisters

How much do I love Hellboy? A LOT. How much do I love these actors?

ETA: Not so much what the movie did to the character of Hellboy, though. It's why I only own Hellboy II, because of the mythology and the twins, despite the fact that I loved the comics.

GUESS )
She's so much more badass than him, seriously. He's still pretty neat, though. Definitely my favorite male actor at the moment. And she's my favorite female; after her comes Anna Popplewell.

Fearless Girls, Wise Women & Beloved Sisters
heroines in folktales from around the world
I love this book. I love that someone made this book. It can really be so soothing. Not a single woman in this book needs any damn rescuing, and they pull it off with flair, brilliance and downright badassery. It's been too long since I read it or I'd pick out favorites of examples of why it's so awesome.[info]meganbmoore, I bet you'd like it.

I just realized that a while back, I posted a link to an original story that was private (I'd posted it half-finished to work on later) and forgot to unlock it before I linked it.

HMM.

One of these days my brain will turn all the way on and stay that way.

Nobody mentioned it, though, which means either nobody tried the link or nobody cared enough to alert me. Oh well! Either way, no harm done except to my opinion of my own intelligence.
