Bleach 345

Okay, so: finally, Ulquiorra! Drawing the sword! For the first time, I was actually curious, so naturally it had to be drawn out.

He's a monster, obviously, but I actually find him a fairly interesting character. Only as a foil to Orihime, though, but she's so dynamic (ORIHIME~~~) I think almost anyone would be interesting when interacting with her. Also I may or may not have developed an irrational fondness for him when he cut that battle with Ichigo so short. His is the only male face I can still stand after a bajillion 'OMG NEW POWER' shock expressions Kubo Tite is so fond of trotting out. Probably because he can goggle with a totally straight face. It's novel.

As usual, too little Orihime or Rukia. And as always TOO LITTLE TATSUKI.

spoilers for Ulquiorra's looks )

WHYYYYYYY AM I DEEEEEAALING WITH THIIIIIIIS

Agh Precalc has come to a grinding and unexpected halt, only a delay until next quarter but I am obscenely grateful. Apparently aside from being obscenely grateful I am also more competent at French than I expected. Good news! Or something like it.

And finally, thank god, the snow seems to have entirely passed. There are still abandoned humped lines of it where it was piled to clear the ground, the air still a little too chilly to dissolve the collection, but as long as they aren't under/inside my shoes I really like looking at them. As long as they aren't so filthy they look like wet concrete, of course.

Happy Valentine's Day, everybody.

Both St. Valentines--patron saints of lovers--were martyred, which makes me pause and consider a bit of possible irony in Romeo and Juliet, but they weren't martyred on anything but their own rash stupidity and self-indulgence, so I guess that's giving Shakespeare too much credit. Doesn't really work. (Given how un-fond I am of the mass stupidity of the Big Misunderstanding plot device and my mild, bored dislike for Romeo, it's a miracle I survived reading that play.)
