Some people are just scum. SCUM.
People who treat a female character like this are willing treat a female person like this. They are people, just on paper.
THIS. Some time ago I had a disagreement with someone who claimed that it was okay to write stories about female characters being gleefully tortured and killed because they weren't 'real people' and you have perfectly articulated what I couldn't find the words to say.
Real or not, they're still *people*.
